."Someone gave me a cassette copy of "Soap Sud Enema" -- needless to say it became a favorite in the shop while we were building props. I managed to hang on to this copy through the slave-pit's four relocations. Imagine my horror when a recent listen ended with a mangled unplayable copy! The slave-pit needs Soap Sud Enema on CD!" -- Bob Gorman from the band GWAR

THE STUBBLES
"Pop-Porn for The Masses"

- The Second Album
-

In the works -- 10-12 songs -- dozens of new tunes approved by live audiences thus far. Doc Stubble sings and plays guitar with Romeo Shank on bass & vocals, Saint Patrick on drums and Gaythoven on piano. The New York Philharmonic and The Boys Choir of Harlem are expected to play on the album. (Or maybe not). A few "celebrity players" are sure to chirp in.

THE STUBBLES
"Say Good-bye to Cock Rock"
(Flexible Manikin Records, 2006)

In early 2006 Doc Stubble held a powwow at The Flexible Manikin Studio in Manhattan. Original STUBBLES Snicker [guitar] and Sloppy Joe [drums] didn't show up. Nonetheless, a band was formed with x-bass player Eggz on guitar and new member's Squirt on drums and Eggz' pal Mugsy on bass; Doc sang. The result was this off-kilter 3-song doodle; not too bad for a half-day's work. Shortly thereafter, Eggz and Mugsy mysteriously disappear; while Squirt died violently in a bar brawl.

As the title implies, "Say Good-bye to Cock Rock" is the band's final digression to a bye-gone era of 80s lo-fi hair-rock, and the band's
coincidental preface to a new pop-porn for the masses collection.
.

In 2003, Doc recorded a solo porno-folk album under the name Marcus Goodwin; he called the album "Buttcracker." Former Cunt Stubble bass player Eggz was in town so Doc invited him to do some tracks. During that session, both players recalled an old STUBBLE diddle that was never recorded. Playing to a drum machine, the twosome hit the red "record" button and performed "The ooo-aaa Song" from memory. The song was included on the Buttcracker CD.

Barney Rubble
and the Cunt Stubble

1990 lo-fi demo - (remastered in 2002)

This is the 7-song lo-fi demo that put THE STUBBLES on the map. Recorded on Snicker's 4-track cassette recorder in Doc's Grandmother's basement, the tape sold-out every time copies were made, and subsequently grabbed the attention of the NYC club scene. As a result, the band went on to play most of the important NYC stages, and perform as an opener to scores of major touring acts. Shortly thereafter, the band recorded SOAP SUD ENEMA which led to a series of record label offers, tour dates, drug addictions, lawsuits and both national and international acclaim.
